How do I freeze account activities if I suspect fraudulent activities on my account?

If you suspect that you are a victim of a scam, you can temporarily suspend access to your account by activating Kill Switch via the MariBank app.

  1. Log in to the MariBank app.

  2. Tap Me on the Homescreen.

  3. Tap Help Centre.

  4. Search Kill Switch on the search bar.

  5. Tap here to activate Kill Switch.


Access to the following will be suspended when Kill Switch is activated:

  • Access to the MariBank app

  • All outgoing fund transfers (Incoming funds to your account will not be affected)


Please note that you will be asked to provide these details to activate Kill Switch:

  • NRIC

  • Date of Birth

  • Contact Number


Our Customer Service Team will contact you for further investigation within the next business day. Upon the successful activation of Kill Switch, a confirmation SMS will be sent to the mobile number that you have provided.
