How does partial prepayment work?
If you make a partial prepayment of your loan, the loan tenure will be shortened by the relevant instalments and you will save on the interest charged for the instalments prepaid.
For example, for a loan with 6 instalments left, and a partial prepayment is made for 3 instalments, the final 4th to 6th months of the instalments will be paid off. Hence, you will not be charged interest on those 3 paid off instalments.
The monthly instalment amounts and due dates will remain unchanged for the 1st to 3rd months of the upcoming instalments which have not been prepaid.
