What is Total Return and how is it calculated?

Total Return represents the total gain or loss since your first investment. It is the sum of your unrealized returns and realized returns.

Unrealised return refers to the returns from your existing investment holdings. In other words, it is the current market value of any holdings you own minus the original investment amount.

Realised return refers to the returns from investments you have sold. In other words, it is the sale price of units which have been sold minus the price you paid for them.

Difference between Total Return and the Past 4-Week Return

The Total Return figure displayed within the mobile application is based on a calculation of your actual investment amount(s) and transaction flows.

The Past 4-Week Return figure on the other hand, refers to the historical return of the Lion-MariBank SavePlus fund for the past 4 calendar weeks, presented on an annualised basis. It is calculated based on the fund's historical prices and may be presented using a different time frame from the actual dates of your buy and sell transactions.
