With effect from 25 June 2024, Mari Credit Account will be renamed to Mari Credit Card. This change will be rolled out progressively and existing Mari Credit Account customers should expect to see the new product name reflected across bank and partner channels, as well as customer communications.
With the change, Mari Credit Account customers will have the option to request for a Mari Credit Card (“Card Upgrade”), and their existing credit limits will remain unchanged. The Mari Credit Card can be used for card payments outside of Shopee. No actual card will be issued to existing Mari Credit Account customers who did not choose the Card Upgrade.
For existing Mari Credit Account customers, you may refer to the notice for more information on the product name change.
Note: If you choose the Card Upgrade option, your Credit Bureau Singapore (CBS) report will indicate a closure of an Unsecured Overdraft account, and an Unsecured Credit Card account will be opened for you. The closure of the Unsecured Overdraft account has no negative impact on your CBS score. The closed account will remain on your CBS report 3 years from the account closure date.
