An Eligible Transaction is defined as: a retail transaction which is posted to a Mari Credit Card Account but has not yet been reflected in any Card Account Statement and is not any of the following: transactions relating to Instant Loan; Mari Credit Card Instant Checkout purchases or transactions, whether the purchase or transaction amounts are paid in full or in monthly instalments; instalment payment plan transactions; any fees and charges that are imposed by us, excluding any Foreign Currency Transaction fees and charges and Currency Conversion Fee, both as set out in the Fee Table, that are not posted to your Mari Credit Card Account separately from the Mari Credit Card transaction that these fees and/or charges are imposed on; transactions that are being or have been disputed, transactions relating to Cashback; and such other transactions as we may notify you of from time to time.
E.g. On 21 July, the total outstanding amount reflected in your Card Account Statement for the period from 21 June to 20 July is S$100, which is payable by 10th August. You will not be able to select any transaction(s) from this amount as it has already been posted to your Mari Credit Card Account and reflected in your Card Account Statement on 21 July.
For your next Mari Credit Card bill covering the period from 21 July to 20 August, as long as the outstanding amount (assuming eligible transaction(s) amount is S$200) has been posted to your Mari Credit Card Account but not yet been reflected in your Card Account Statement on 21 August, you will be able to select eligible transaction(s) from the S$200 bill for Split Payment.
The sum of transaction(s) selected must be minimally S$50.
If you are unable to apply for a Split Payment Application and you encounter the following error message:
“An application for Split Payment must be for Eligible Transaction(s) which has/have a total transaction amount that is at least S$50 and cannot be for an amount which exceeds the transaction amount of the Eligible Transaction or the total transaction amount of all Eligible Transactions, as the case may be, less any Excess Amount(s), as determined at the point of time when the relevant Split Payment Application is submitted. All capitalised terms are as defined in the Terms and Conditions Governing Split Payment.”
Please note that this is because a Split Payment Application cannot be for an amount which exceeds the transaction amount of the Eligible Transaction or the total amount of all Eligible Transaction(s), as the case may be, less any Excess Amount(s), as determined at the point when the relevant Split Payment Application is submitted.
Excess Amount means any of the following, as determined at the point of time when the relevant Split Payment Application is submitted:
Any payment in excess of the Statement Due;
Any refunded amounts of Mari Credit Card transactions, whether the refund is in full or in part, that are posted to your Mari Credit Card Account after your latest Card Account Statement date; and
Any amounts that are posted to your Mari Credit Card Account after your latest Card Account Statement date because of any waiver granted by us.
For more information and the definitions of defined terms used here, please refer to the Terms and Conditions Governing Split Payment.
For example, S$100 was billed to you in your Mari Credit Card outstanding balance last month and you made a payment of $120. The $20 overpaid amount will be used to offset any newly-posted outstanding balances in the upcoming month. For the purpose of a Split Payment application, it will constitute an Excess Amount as defined above.
If you have 5 Eligible Transactions each amounting to $100 and you would like to apply for a Split Payment, the total transaction amount you may select is S$480 (total transaction amount of all Eligible Transactions of S$500, less the Excess Amount of S$20), as determined at the point of time when the relevant Split Payment application is submitted.
