What does it mean when a transaction is labelled as 'Overdrawn Transaction'?

An overdrawn transaction occurs when your account has insufficient funds for your Mari Debit Card transaction, causing your Mari Savings Account to be overdrawn. Generally, your Mari Debit Card transactions will be declined if your Mari Savings Account has insufficient funds. However, in certain limited circumstances, your Mari Savings Account may be overdrawn. This does not show as a negative balance in your app, but is still an overdrawn amount that needs to be repaid.

Your account may be overdrawn in instances such as for SimplyGo transactions for Bus or MRT rides. You will not be able to use your Mari Debit Card until you have repaid the overdrawn amount. You will need to top up your Mari Savings Account and repay the overdrawn amount to be able to continue using your Mari Debit Card.
